So I called up Jannat Spa for directions and the receptionist didn't have a clue where I was, and said I'm in the wrong place, I should be near Marylebone Road not Edgware Road. She also didn't know the postcode of her own work place! At this point I started panicking as I thought I was miles away from where I should be. I know these two locations aren't too far away from each other, but I really hate getting lost! Thank god for 21st century technology and GPS. I looked it up on my phone and actually, I was only 2 minutes away. Determined to complain about the receptionist after the treatment, I entered Jannat Spa. The receptionist was busy chatting away on the phone in Hindi, so another lady booked me in.
The picture on the Groupon site is extremely deceptive. The salon was messy and cluttered, the two ladies who seemed to be the only staff there, did not even have uniform. I wasn't offered a drink. Call me fussy, but these things are important. The treatment room was shocking (see below). Dirty, untidy and unwelcoming. The towels were unmatched and one had a hole in it! There was no soothing music on, instead I had to listen to a customer rabbiting on about her eyebrows. I was amazed at the lack of professionalism. This place would have been fine, if it was in Southall- but not Zone 1, London.
I certainly wouldn't recommend this salon to anybody. When you go for a massage you expect a relaxing environment, professional staff, fluffy towels, candles and ice cold water with lemon! I didn't complain about the receptionist as she was the one who carried out all the treatments. She was friendly so I just didn't have the heart to do it. Jannat Spa really need to up their game. I'm surprised they're still in business.
